Ok, here's armored Shining Armor as a transformer! In this one, his inspiration for his transformation is Sentinel Prime, complete with energy shield on his arm. His pony armor will transform into upper body armor and simple tweaking of his pony limbs into arms and legs, his pony head covered by his robot body and viola!

Hehe, pretty cool: I could almost instantly see the Sentinel Prime resemblance. I haven't seen TFA in so long, but I would say they don't have that much in common with personality, they just both share a high ranking role.
